This week saw the death  one of the founding fathers of the Colombian cocaine trade, as well as well as creating one of the worlds  most powerful  crime syndicates the Medellin cartel

PAPI EYE-SAW-  Juan David Ochoa was the oldest brother of the Ochoa clan , formed with his two younger brothers Jorge Luis and Fabio. Born into a wealthy family Juan David had the pressure as the oldest to succeed . He saw himself as a business man and with   good connections  had the advantage  of  being near and scheming ways to get rich.
While the cocaine trade was in its earliest stages Juan David was already a player and entrepreneur ,inventing ways to  smuggle cocaine to the USA via   cocaine mules and packages , as well as going to the USA, to places like New York  to establish a market
for the cocaine essentially promoting and marketing the drugs. Back in Medellin Ochoa was becoming a well respected business man who was good at paying. He used to pay the the manufacturers of the cocaine money and they would supply him the cocaine and he would do the rest, he knew  the real profits were generated overseas. one of these manufacturers who used to supply him were two  money and power hungry cousins Gustavo Gaviria and Pablo Escobar .By the late seventies the cocaine market was established and a new style of business  within the trade was being set Juan David  job was done and he started taken a back seat as the two younger brothers were showing there fire and strengths in the trade.
The Ochoa clan co founded the Medellin Cartel with its figure head Pablo Escobar as well as  being his main associate and backer in the 1980s during the Cartels war on the state. During the persecution of the Medellin cartel Juan David handed himself  and was given a 5 year sentence as well as avoiding extradition. By the time he was released Pablo was dead and  and the cocaine trade was  for a new generation , he supposedly went into retirement but his youngest brother was extradited for drug dealing and is serving a 30 year sentence while the cocaine industry was being led by  leaders who were low ranking lutenants , sicarios or soldiers in thier time. Juan David release was controversial and seen as a disgrace by sections of society. These sections see him as still be responsible for thousands of murders and  still as having a major stake in Medellin cocaine trade. Juan David age 65 died a free man, the Ochoa clan started the cocaine trade, they bought terror to Colombia  ,creating Narco terrorism, they helped create the first paramilitry groups to combat against leftist guerrillas , the Ochoa clan have made billions through the trade while parading as cattle ranchers and horse breeders. So powerful  and respected  they are a major part of Colombias violent and criminal history. they will always be remembered for the Medellin cartel and relations with Pablo Escobar and in some sections of the cocaine trade and officials say  the Ochoa  clan are responsible for the most cocaine exported out of Colombia and that Pablo Escobar reported to them. One thing is for sure he has taken a lot of secrets to the grave

Brazils Best Footballer

  Garrincha the footballer was a complete urban sporting legend and badboy, a player who could be playing in front of thousands in the biggest stadium in the world The Maracana with Botafogo football club, and later that same evening he be playing football with his friends and  local killers in the favela local  football pitch. On he field he was pure genius and entertainment whose fun was making defenders look useless and embarrassed. A master of skills he had everything, shooting power accuracy ,free-kick master and a beautiful outside foot technique all with the disability or ability depends how you see it of one leg being shorter than the other. He won the 1962 world cup and player of the tournament by himself (ask Pele).
Off the field the same Garrincha was a drunk a womanizer  and loved to party, his own  pleasures and vices  made him  unstable and  unreliable of the pitch not letting himself reach the international acclaim as Pele .His brushes with the law and incidents  under the influence of alcohol   made his life turbulent and even sad  in  context of potential. Garrincha loved football and he knew that it was a gift and more importantly he delivered on the pitch and lived his life as he wanted which would not always help his career, A typical urban legend and hero who was accessible  and  who could be seen because he chose to stay in Brazil and teach the next football generations of favela children how too do it or  how not to do it.

Pablo Escobar Favorite Sicario Pinina

20 years since the death of the richest and most powerful  drug kingpin Pablo Escobar. The Colombian Medellin Cartel cocaine  boss is causing a stir in Latin America with a new doc-soap called Pablo Escobar Patron del mal, which is re-living the most infamous parts of his tyranny and rule over the cocaine trade. More important then this is that the soap is revealing the structures and men behind the cartel that made them, the most powerful and ruthless in the world whose legacies still cause misery.

A  bad boy killer by his early teens ,he started working for the patron from 15 years young , he would become Escobar's first true Sicario who became a legend in the Medellin underworld. He would command Sicario groups for the needs of Escobar and carried out all jobs however outrageous or difficult the Capo would order. So good at completing jobs and doing the cartels dirty work he became a respected lieutenant and  he rose to 5th in the cartel. An incredible feat for a street kid who raised himself in the notorious Medellin barrios and became a product of the underworld. He had a high pitched voice, small in frame and stature as well as having a baby face. He was responsible for many high profile murders and atrocities by the cartel which eventually got him in June 1990 when he was killed by the Authorities. His death was three years before Escobar's death.With his death the Bosses corner naturally became weaker which he knew and he mourned his top killer for a long time due to the fact  was very close to him as he had raised, schooled and  trained him  in all aspects of criminality and more importantly he was his favourite hired hitman and enforcer because he knew Sicarios like Pinina were priceless and would come only once in a lifetime. Pinina made Pablo Escobar the most feared and ruthless Capo in Medellin and the world , as well as laying the blueprint for all the next generations of sicarios that have and are still  destroying and operating in Colombia.
